The Mussel was designed to make the most out of crappy surf while maintaining performance. The shorter, wider outline with a wide tail provides the extra lift needed to get going in weak and mushy waves. A three-stage rocker with a flat section under the front foot helps to accelerate down the line. Speed is the key in small waves, and this board is a speed machine. Ride it two to four inches shorter than your normal shortboard.
